Everything you need to know about Apposters - from what it does to how it works.
Add to ChromeApposters is a browser extension that turns any GitHub repository into a live SaaS application, website, or landing page with a single click. It uses AI to generate the content and design, and Apposters provides the hosting infrastructure. No copywriting, no blank templates, and no hosting setup required.
Apposters is designed for three main groups:
The process is simple and automated:
Yes! Before you start the generation process, you can click the link under the SaaS, Website, or Landing Page buttons to access the design selection screen. There, you can choose from 30+ pre-built designs, switch between light and dark mode, and provide custom instructions for the AI to follow.
Typically just a few minutes. A simple landing page is the fastest, while a full website with multiple pages (About, FAQ, etc.) takes longer because more content needs to be written. The generation time depends on the complexity of your project and the amount of content in your repository.
No. Apposters is smart enough to recognize common project types without a Dockerfile. It will use a Dockerfile if one is present, but it's not required for most projects.
Yes, absolutely. The generated site is plain HTML, giving you full control. You can edit it directly in the visual editor or switch to the code view for more advanced changes. You can also regenerate the site in a different design or replace it entirely with your own custom HTML.
The SaaS option creates a complete product site that includes both your marketing pages and your deployed application, all running from the same address. You get access to application logs, a terminal in the browser, and smart error messages that explain failures in plain English with suggested fixes.
Yes, generating and publishing a site is completely free and does not require a credit card. You can build and host your website or landing page at no cost. Paid features include running the deployed app itself, using a custom domain, and adding extra memory or disk space. You'll always see the price before you decide to pay for any of these add-ons.
The Apposters extension is designed with privacy in mind. It only reads the address of the current GitHub tab when you click its button to determine which repository you want to build from. It does not read the content of any web page, has no server of its own, and does not perform any tracking.
You can build private repositories as SaaS applications. To do this, you'll need to connect your GitHub account to Apposters once. This connection is secure and allows Apposters to access the necessary repository information for building, without storing your code or sensitive data.

Apposters is currently available for Google Chrome. You can install it directly from the Chrome Web Store. We are working on adding support for other browsers in the future.
Installation is simple. Just click the "Add to Chrome" button on the Chrome Web Store page. The extension will be added to your browser, and you'll need to grant it the necessary permissions. Once installed, you'll see the Apposters icon in your toolbar whenever you visit a GitHub repository.
Apposters requests minimal permissions to function. It needs access to "web history" to read the URL of the current tab when you click its button. This is how it knows which GitHub repository you want to build from. It does not access your browsing history, passwords, or any other sensitive data.
If you have questions, ideas, or need help, please email us at support@apposters.com. We're always happy to help you get the most out of Apposters.
We are constantly working to improve Apposters. We release updates regularly to add new features, improve the AI generation quality, and fix any issues that arise. You can check the Chrome Web Store page for the latest version number and update date.
